Compare your PC with the Steam spec
The store minimum is Windows 7 64-bit or later, a 64-bit CPU, 2 GB RAM, a GeForce 9800 GT or equivalent, DirectX 9, 2 GB free, and any sound card. Recommended is Windows 10 64-bit, a 2.4 GHz quad-core or higher, 4 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 460 or equivalent, DirectX 11, and 3 GB free. The same page says the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later from 1 January 2024.
One launch-day review from Pixelz reported slideshow performance after lowering graphics. That is a single report on release day, not a change to the spec table. A SteamPeaks page cited a 7.38 GB install size; that figure is not the store's 2 GB / 3 GB requirement, and this page does not adopt it as official.
