PAPERHEAD released on Steam for Windows on October 9, 2026. The store lists macOS and Linux as unavailable. Developer Paperhead te4m, publisher HypeTrain Digital. The US store price checked on 10 October 2026 was $15.99, discounted 20 percent from $19.99. Prices move by country and day.

What you do in the first room

The store describes one loop: a magical pencil, a shotgun, and your boots. Boots toss enemies, kick exploding barrels, and stomp heads. The pencil sketches bombs you kick, draws doors you kick down, and writes on walls. The shotgun is the blast when the boot is not enough. No damage numbers are published on the store page.

Do not mix the old date with this build

A developer post moved the launch from September 18 to October 9. A DefKey control card still says September 18 and consoles. The Steam platform flags say Windows only. The launch post says fourteen leg skins and 44 soundtrack tracks. The Supporter Pack store page lists 13 named cosmetics, and the soundtrack page says 40+ tracks. Those conflicts stay on the editions and controls pages.
